Congratulations to Cheryl Olman, PhD, associate and Morse-Alumni Distinguished Teaching Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota, and Jesse Breedlove, PhD, a post-doctoral associate working with Cheryl, for receiving a grant of $14,740 for Jesse’s work uncovering the neural correlates of non-optic sight in blindness using fMRI. When visual parts of the brain 'see' objects in response to touch, instead of sight, how similar are those signals to responses driven by sight? This grant was awarded by the College of Liberal Arts. Olman was selected as an awardee of the college’s Brain Imaging Grant for Fall 2021.
