UMN Psychologists Receive Funding to Study Intervention for Managing Stress during COVID-19

Patricia Frazier1, PhD; Liza Meredith2, PhD; and Viann Nguyen-Feng3, PhD, have been awarded a COVID-19 Rapid Response Grant from the Office of Academic Clinical Affairs in the UMN Medical School.  The project “Assessing the Efficacy of a COVID-19 Stress Management Intervention” uses data being collected now from 400 students in Psychology classes at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and Duluth campuses. The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether their previously-developed online stress management intervention is helpful for students dealing with all of the changes and unknowns of the COVID-19 pandemic. Stay tuned to BrainWave to hear what they discover.
