Headshot of Liza Meredith
Liza Meredith, PhD, Contract Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota has been popular with the Minnesota Daily, appearing in two major articles in one week This is not surprising given that Meredith leads the single largest course on campus, Introduction to Psychology with over 1000 students per semester.

In “Wondering how to stay sane under quarantine?” from March 25th, Meredith discussed how to maintain balance during these times of uncertainty: l keep up on the news but don’t go overboard, and keep in touch with people using the tools you have at hand.

On Monday, March 29th, Meredith was featured in“How students are handling their mental health in the middle of a pandemic.”  Meredith highlights the importance of developing and keeping a steady schedule.   She reminds readers that being emotional during this time can be expected because this pandemic is something we haven’t experienced before.

Meredith received her Counseling PhD in 2016 from the University of Minnesota.  Her dissertation  Web-Based Intervention with Email Support for Community College Students prepared her well to be a great UMN instructor during this time of crisis.
