Iacono Receives Funding from NIH

William Iacono
, PhD, regents professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota, received funding of $58,795 from the National Institute of Health and the State University of New York at Stony Brook, for “Optimized Phenotypes for Genetic Association Studies.” The study explores using empirically-derived phenotypes to find genetic associations related to mental illness. This will increase the power and precision of predicting mental illnesses that have a genetic etiology. The grant runs from 7/1/21 through 6/30/22.
