Graduation Celebrations Continue

In the midst of graduation season, many people are thinking “How can we celebrate this great event while maintaining pandemic guidelines?” Within the Department of Psychology, many people are sharing their activities.

Since we are unable to host an in-person graduation celebration for our undergraduate students that receive awards we have developed a website for our students. The website includes a message from our Department Chair Jeff Simpson as well as a message from our Distinguished Undergraduate Alumni Award Winner Michelle Ellefson. We used social media and our weekly newsletter to share our excitement and congratulations for our graduating class.

Our Counseling Area graduate students got together to hold their own hooding ceremonies with their professors. At an intimate gathering Rich Lee, PhD, hooded Adam Kim, and Christine Wu with a few other students in attendance. Patricia Frazier, PhD also hooded Majel Baker in a private gathering. Other students are hooding each other and having family and friends attend virtually.
