Galvan-Ochoa, Honors Undergrad, Invited to Speak to Graduating Students

With the end of the academic year, comes our graduation celebrations.  This year, instead of holding an in-person or virtual commencement ceremony, the Undergraduate Honors Program decided to record the invited student speaker and ask others to write letters to the recent graduates.  Alonso E. Galvan-Ochoa, BS Psychology, summa cum laude, was selected for this honor.

He speaks about graduating during this time of difficult situations, societal and personal, explaining that this is a time of struggle that shapes us. He also speaks about the importance of having a diverse body of support coming from both family and friends, and faculty and staff. Most importantly he mentions the need to continue a journey in which graduates can be mentors and lead a righteous path for generations to come. View Galvan-Ochoa's full speech below and see what other students wrote on the Undergraduate Honors Program website.
